Busy, busy

Did you think I forgot how to blog?

Don't worry, life has just been busy lately.  This time of year is always crazy and usually I'm running in circles and frustrated with myself wondering why I'm so stressed out and busy.  I must be learning, however, because this year I remembered the annual ritual that is May and June with end of the school year activities, birthdays, spring fever, etc.  The remembering hasn't made me any less busy or stressed, but it has helped me keep  everything in perspective.  And, it has made me very anxious for summer break.

With that being said, stay tuned for some BIG news coming soon.  BIG, I tell ya.  You won't wanna miss it....

April of Joy

How can April not be joyous with the beauty that blossoms from nature?  Here is my list of April joy:

  • Receiving this note from a friend's daughter whom I teach in Primary music class--

  • Directing our church choir in two gorgeous pieces that turned out beautifully and were most certainly inspired to be sung on Easter.  After hours and days of thought, pondering, dilemmasizing, prayer, and uncertainty on my part, everything fell into place in about five minutes during one of our rehearsals.  Then, everything was as it should be and I realized the Lord had known it would be that way all along.
  • Taking a risk and getting my boys' hair cut shorter and in a different style than normal.  They all three look completely adorable, and every time I look at them their beautiful faces shine!
  • Enjoying the gloriously beautiful weather that graced us a few days this month.  I forgot how nice it feels to wear sandals, open the windows in the house, and not have to make a fire to keep the house warm.
  • Watching Grant be baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  His big blue eyes looked so innocent and happy.
  • Visiting with Jason's parents who came to visit for Grant's baptism.  It was so nice to see them, even if it was for a short time.
  • Watching Kyle and Karina get pumped about their first t-ball practice.  As they tried on their cleats and baseball pants, they were inspired to begin exercising.  Karina started running laps around the interior of the house and they both had a push-up contest to show me their muscles.  They were actually quite good at them!
