My blondie's 6th birthday

This weekend we celebrated Grant's 6th birthday. What a joyful, energetic, fun-loving and sweet child he is! I love his big blue eyes, wavy blonde hair, and super soft cheeks.

He chose a robot cake for his party--undoubtedly because it was covered in various candy pieces. He loves to decorate the cakes with me. Actually, all the kids do. Have you ever tried to bake, frost, and decorate a cake with five little urchins crowding you in the corner of the kitchen and wagging their tongues for a lick of the spatula or bowl? It's no small task, I tell you.

Later that evening we had a family pizza dinner with two special guests, Grandma Barker and Grandma Richards. It was a fun day to honor our boy who is growing so quickly. We love him!

  1. What a fantastic cake! I love it. Fun cakes are a tradition at our house, too. This week I get to make a Lego cake...

  2. Shanny you've continued Mom's tradition of making special cakes for our birthdays beautifully. 5 a year, wow!
