Playing catch up

Here is a brief look at what we've been doing this summer:

Baseball season ends: Dallin finished his third year of youth baseball. He enjoyed it and has improved his skills quite a bit. His favorite position to play is second base. A highlight of the season was when he had to slide into home plate when a girl he likes was the catcher!


Four-wheeling on Goat Mountain: We finally found the radio towers on Goat Mountain near our home! I've stared at those towers from afar since I was a kid, heard my brothers brag about riding their motorcycles to them, and wandered around in the maze of dirt roads surrounding them--seeing them in the distance, but never able to find the one road that leads to them. Now, the towers have been conquered!

Look closely, you'll see the back wheel is not touching the ground.

Scouting with Dallin: We attended our first Pack Meeting where Dallin was welcomed into Cub Scouts and awarded a few belt loops and badges he has already earned. We're looking forward to the next Pack Meeting where he will be awarded his Bobcat badge!



Summer barbeques: We've enjoyed our fire pit in the backyard. The kids love to roast marshmallows.



Sunday drives to Timothy Lake and Timberline Lodge: We enjoy seeing the beauty that's so close to our home.



Visiting family in California: Pool parties, movie nights, sunburns at the water park, playing with cousins, riding scooters at the skate park, crying from sunburns at the water park, Austin's baptism, the cool California coast, shopping, more whining about painful sunburns at the water park. It was a fun trip full of memories!
