Mariah has been taking piano lessons for the past few months.
She worked really hard and has made huge strides in her abilities.
I'm very proud of her.
Her teacher has recitals for her students once a year with a fun theme for the students to follow.
This year's theme was Movie & TV Show music.
Mariah picked two songs to play:
The Colors of the Wind, from Pocahontas, and Under the Sea, from The Little Mermaid.
She dressed up as Pocahontas and let her fingers fly!
She did a fabulous job, even though her nerves were almost too much for her to handle.
It was a good experience for her to push through her nerves and prove she could be successful.
I'm looking forward to seeing how much she'll grow in the coming year.
Next year's theme: Disney!
