Spring Break

We had a pretty uneventful Spring Break, but it was still nice to just be home with the kids and do whatever we wanted. Jason took one day off and we went to the Children's Museum in Portland. We had never been there before and the kids really enjoyed it. They had all different sections of exploratory activities and they also had a Bob the Builder exhibit for the kids to explore.

Karina was a bit timid at first (unusual for her!) and wasn't sure she wanted to crawl through the tunnels. With a little coaxing from Mariah, however, she decided to give it a try!

I think the most popular place was the construction site where they dug around in the "dirt" that was made of recycled rubber! There was some serious excavating happening here!

And then, of course, my kids are climbing on a cow sculpture that says, "Do not climb!" Classic.

The kids (and Jason!) on a huge old train at the nearby Forestry Center.

  1. Sometimes vacationing in your own "backyard" can be just as much fun as leaving town. You guys are great parents with cutest ever kids. Love ya all

  2. Ummm, Shannon? So let me get this right, you had your misbehaving son Dallin, hold a pose on the "Do Not Climb" device so you could get his picture?
