Dallin had a weekend full of festivities, both birthday related and non-birthday related. But, we mixed them all together and called them a weekend full of birthday fun!
On Thursday, Dallin went with his school class on an overnight field trip and learned all about the pioneers on the Oregon Trail. When he woke up in the morning, Mom sent a surprise with his teacher to celebrate his birthday morning. It came with special instructions in order for him to retrieve his prize. He had to do silly things like do a dance, act like a monkey, and yell out, "I love Mom!" Aaahhh, the embarrassment begins.
When he returned home, we had a house full of kids to celebrate his birthday. He requested an ice cream cake, so I decided to make it an ice cream mountain. Yum!
The next day Dallin got to spend the night at Grandpa and Grandma Barker's house and celebrate with them. He was exhausted by the end of the weekend, but he had loads of fun.
